Shipping & Customs Policy

1. Shipping from Japan

All international orders are shipped from Japan by MT Roots Co., Ltd., the operator of Veritecoeur International.

We primarily use FedEx for international delivery.


2. Shipping Destinations

We currently offer international shipping to eligible destinations in:

  • Hong Kong;
  • Taiwan; and
  • Singapore.

We do not currently ship to the European Union or the United Kingdom.

The availability of particular products may vary depending on destination-specific import restrictions and applicable laws.


3. Shipping Charges

Applicable shipping charges are displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

The shipping charge may vary depending on:

  • destination;
  • package size and weight;
  • products ordered; and
  • applicable carrier rates.


4. DDP — Duties and Taxes Included

Orders are shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis.

Applicable customs duties and import taxes are paid at checkout as part of the total amount payable.

Customers do not need to pay customs duties or import taxes upon delivery.

DDP does not necessarily mean that every possible charge associated with delivery is included.

Additional charges may arise from circumstances attributable to the customer, including:

  • an incorrect or incomplete address;
  • customer-requested changes to delivery;
  • refusal to accept delivery;
  • failure to cooperate with customs procedures;
  • storage charges;
  • re-delivery charges; or
  • other exceptional charges imposed as a result of the customer's actions or omissions.

Where permitted by applicable law, such costs may be charged to the customer or deducted from a refund.


5. Customs Clearance

International shipments may require customs clearance in the destination country.

To facilitate delivery and customs clearance, we may provide relevant information to FedEx, customs authorities, governmental authorities and other service providers involved in the shipment.

This information may include:

  • customer name;
  • delivery address;
  • contact details;
  • order information;
  • product description;
  • quantity;
  • product value; and
  • other information required by law or for customs clearance.


6. Product-Specific Import Restrictions

Some products or materials may be subject to import restrictions or additional requirements.

This may include products containing:

  • leather;
  • wool;
  • animal-derived materials;
  • natural fibers; or
  • other regulated materials.

Where applicable, we may restrict the sale or shipment of a product to a particular destination.


7. Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout where available.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Delays may occur due to:

  • customs clearance;
  • weather;
  • transportation disruption;
  • public holidays;
  • governmental measures;
  • incorrect delivery information; or
  • other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Mandatory statutory delivery rights remain unaffected.


8. Delivery Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an order cannot be delivered because the address provided is incorrect or incomplete, additional delivery or re-delivery costs may arise.


9. Delivery Attempts and Refused Shipments

FedEx may make delivery attempts in accordance with its applicable procedures.

If an order is refused, abandoned or returned to Japan due to circumstances attributable to the customer, reasonable costs actually incurred may be charged or deducted from any refund to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This provision does not limit statutory cancellation, withdrawal or refund rights.


10. Delayed or Lost Shipments

If a shipment appears to be delayed, lost or otherwise affected during transportation, please contact us.

We will work with FedEx to investigate the shipment and, where appropriate, take reasonable steps to resolve the issue.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights available to consumers.


11. International Returns

All international returns are sent back to Japan.

The return address and return procedure are provided in our Returns & Refund Policy.


12. Customs Information and Personal Data

Information required for international delivery and customs clearance may be shared with FedEx, customs authorities and other parties involved in fulfilling the order.
